SmartRent is pleased to announce that we have received $1.5 million in venture funding from Real Estate Technology Ventures (RET Ventures). To date, we have raised over $5 million in funds to develop software for property developers, owners, managers and residents to have one centralized location to manage their smart home connected devices. The latest round in funding comes just as we launch new mobile application features for property managers and residents.

As the rental landscape changes, more residents are coming to expect smart home technology in their homes to keep up with the modern technological trends. It’s become clear that voice activated devices and smart thermostats have become a standard expectation among younger renters; 50 percent of renters are under 30 years old according to the National Multifamily Housing Council. Multifamily communities are now scrambling to keep up with this growing trend. SmartRent offers a way for property managers and owners to retrofit existing buildings with this technology and manage all connected devices on one platform.
